Gym Floor Care? Don’t Forget The HVAC System

table fanHigh quality wooden gym floors need more than just careful care applied directly to the floor. You need to consider the environment the floor is exposed to as well.

Those who install high quality wooden (usually maple) floors recommend that the facilities housing those gyms maintain the relative humidity at 35% to 55%.

This maximum range of 15% is understood to be reasonable to expose a wooden floor to, but anything outside that range should be avoided, using some sort of dehumidifier or air conditioning system.
