Weight Training On A Gym Floor? You Need This

Horse HoofNothing will destroy a wooden gym floor faster than using it as a weight room. Not only will weights slammed to the floor cause the wood to split and splinter, repeated weight use can also damage the sub floor and even the floor framing.

There are expensive and complicated floor coverings that will protect your floor, but there is a much simpler, less expensive solution that most people would never think of.

Rubber horse stall mats.

These are not simple floor mats, but rather thick slabs of vinyl that are strong enough to stand up to the weight of a horse.

While they are not designed to interlock, they are heavy enough that several of them, placed side by side, will not move when weight lifters work out on them.
